The Daily God Whispers

by Susan Waldrop

Focus

Wednesday 2-26-09

Today I speak to you about 'Focus' for without focus you would not be able to do everything I have waiting for you. It is in that quietness, that stillness you will hear me say; 'Do it this way', or 'Wait, let me show you how'.

I am whispering to you daily, in every breath you take. We are like the cowboy and the horse, a pair, a unit, a dream, a vision, a picture to the whole world of who 'we' are.

Without me, your saddle will shake, without me, your heart will break and without me, you will walk in shadows when you could be walking in the light.

Come with me now, let me show you the trails I have for you, for the vision I have for your life is upon you even now, but only you can answer the call that I have placed inside of you.

For I have seen and I have heard inside of you and I, am here waiting to take you to the next level, the next person you are to meet that will open all the doors of opportunity and fulfillment. Come, saddle up and ride with me today! - I Love You, The Whisper

Susan's Comment;

As he beacons us 'come' it is up to us to choose each morning what path we will walk, what people we will choose to listen to, what phone calls we will accept or reject. For so
many of us go through each day and never listen to his plan for our day in the beginning of the day, so that the beat of each moment will be the right choice! What a day of victory we can experience full of revelation and encouragement! How will you know you are on that path each day? Shall we consider to just 'focus' each morning knowing it will give us a better today, and greater tomorrow. Dr. Charles Stanley, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta and founder of In Touch Ministries, is a wonderful source of inspiration and encouragement and speaks on focusing and biblical practicality.

Successful leaders of the world of all race and religion know the secret of real success
is spending time alone in worship of their creator in the beginning of each day and
focusing their attention upon his direction, his guidance so they can receive and know
what their 'assignment for the day' is.

"How Can I Focus?"
I hear you ask; "How can I focus when so much is going on in my life from the first moment I wake up? If it isn't the dog wanting out, it's the phone ringing, or the baby crying. What can I do to stop the craziness? I feel like it's a never ending battle; an endless circle going around and around."

#1. Realize Your Self Worth.

The first thing you need to do is come to a decision and
realize you are not going to be any good to yourself, or your family if you don't clear
your mind totally in the beginning of each day. When my children were young and running
around, I thought I would lose my mind as they wanted my all attention 99% of the day! Finally one day I just stopped and said to myself; 'Susan, you're going to crack up if
you allow this to continue. They can learn to wait. They will be OK."

#2. Create One New Habit.

Make time for yourself however you can early in your day to
spend 10 to 15 minutes in prayer alone. Whatever you have to do to make this happen,
DO IT. This will not only make you feel better about yourself emotionally, but you
will feel more energy physically during the day. I begin by just thanking God for
everything in my life, then I pray for each person he brings to my mind, then I ask him
what 3 things he would have me do 'this day' and I write it down. Keep a paper and pen
handy to log whatever else he tells me so I can refer back to it throughout the day.

#3. Keep it Before Your Eyes.

Put the note on a place you will see throughout the day to keep it before your eyes so you will easily accomplish whatever the 3 assignments are for that day. Then as the day comes to a close, you will feel good about yourself knowing it was a prosperous day.

Closing Thoughts: I know this may seem insignificant but, if you see this daily
assignment before you physically and complete it at the end of the day, you will be amazed at how good you feel about yourself and hopeful about your life in general of your tomorrows!

Remember, You can Do This! See it as already done in your eyes. See it as a 'Personal Assignment' from God himself, whom you are an ambassador for, and he is depending upon you to do it each day! Then it will be extremely easy to accept or dismiss whatever comes along during your day to accomplish the special assignment He has
placed in your dependable hands each day.

In His Love, Susan Waldrop
