My Whispers

The precious Holy Spirit speaks many ways to man, through the word of God; to the mind, through a dream or vision of the day or night, through prophecy or the thunder of the wind, or even direct.

The ways of God are endless for He is God and can speak anyway he so chooses. He also whispers, and is that small still voice, that nudging onward, you feel.

They say -

"If you want to get someone's' attention; whisper"

Maybe this is one of the reasons he whispers, so we'll get still and quiet enough to listen.

One word from him is worth everything.

And from the dust where you are prostrate

Your words will come. Your voice will also be like that

of a spirit from the ground,

The Whisper

A Conversation with the Holy Spirit
Aug 29, 2003

I picked up the glass from the dishwater and asked,

"Why can I hear you so clearly father, and they can't?

there's no doubt in my mind its you" -


"Because they're not listening" he whispered.


"What do you mean?" I asked. He continued -

"They HEAR me, but they don't LISTEN.

There IS a difference you know."

I thought about it. "You're right, there IS."

"Why don't they listen father?" I asked.

"It's because they don't WANT to hear what I have to say.

If they did, it would upset their day

and they'd have to be accountable to me then,

and they don't want that because

they want to continue in what THEY WANT.

They've only given me half."

I felt an immediate sadness come over me. I petitioned him;

"Well don't they feel SAD about it?

Don't they feel your sadness IN THEM when YOU feel sad about things?"

He answered -

"No. They have conditioned themselves,

to feeling just what they 'WANT' to feel.

They don't feel Me much."

"How sad" I said.

"At least YOu FEEL ME, and YOU listen to me.

Pray that their hearts will soften child, thats why I talk to you."

"ok"...I said.

You know, every time I wash my dishes, or make my bed,

or take a walk, or drive the car, or just sit in silence, He talks with me.

And a lot of the time,

He just starts talking! Its so sad they are missing SO MUCH.
